Brain cancer impacts over 1400 Australians per year. 1 men in every 111 and 1 woman in every 160 will be diagnosed with brain cancer at age 85.
In 2015 a member of one of our own was diagnosed with brain cancer. A diagnosis grade 3 an incurable tumour.
Thursday 24th of August we invite you all to raise funds for a good cause.
Our goal for the event is to raise community awareness and hopefully help Chrisi French on her fight through this diagnosis.
The 5km walk/run will start at 6:00 pm - 1/14 Glasson drive, Bethania.
The event is a small but non-essential donation, mostly an opportunity to show someone that she has our support. As a team, we hope to contribute $200 from the event and will be offering fundraiser opportunities in our facility.
Hi my name is Chrisi,
In December 2015 I was diagnosed with a grade 3 anoplastic astrocytoma (incurable tumor). Surgery January 2016, radiation from March 2016 to May 2016, then chemotherapy from June 2016 to March 2017.
Now dealing with many side effects from chemotherapy I am seeing a PT once a week also attending a self massage class frequently.
I would like to invite you all to walk with me August 24th at 6:00pm through Edens Landing.
