Muscle Nation 100% Whey Protein vs Casein Custard Protein - what’s the difference?
Awesome question legends! Muscle Nations’s 100% Whey Isolate Protein contains just that - 100% Whey Isolate. This is an ultra filtered version of Whey Isolate, and thus contains a leaner profile (only 2.7g Carbs + 0.4g Fat per serve), a higher protein content (76.4g per 100g) and a faster digestion rate to provide your muscles with the required nutrients sooner. In contrast, Muscle Nation’s Casein Custard Protein contains Casein Protein. Casein, while still derived from milk like whey, is a slower digesting protein. It is also not as filtered as whey: thereby not being quite as lean (7.5g Carbs + 2.5g Fats per serving) and not at dense in protein nutrients (62.5g per 100g). Therefore, each protein has it’s own time and place! In a strict diet and as a post-workout shake - 100% Whey Isolate is best. As a full-feeling snack or a night-time protein - Casein Custard Protein is best.
How do I make my Casein Protein Powder into Custard?
All you need is a little water! (However, you can use milk as well if you like). To ensure the consistency is to your liking, start by adding 90-100mL of cold water or milk to the mixture while stirring (for 2 scoops - 40g). Then slowly add more water or milk if a thinner consistency is desired. Ensure the powder is mixed through completely before adding more liquid. This is totally optional - but we would also recommend trying Casein Custard Protein warm! Microwave the mixed custard for 30 seconds for a warm treat!
Is this product Vegan?
This product contains casein, which is derived from milk, and is therefore an animal-based product. Thus, this product is not suitable for a vegan lifestyle, or those with a lactose-intolerance.

[How to use?]
A serving size of Custard Casein Protein is generally 2 scoops (40g). However, you can definitely adapt this serving size to suit your personal goals and macronutrient requirements.
To mix up you Custard Casein Protein, add a serving of powder to a bowl. Start by adding 110mL of water or milk, and stir through. Then, slowly add more water or milk until you achieve your desired consistency. Always ensure the powder is mixed through completely before you add more liquid! No one likes much-too-runny Custard Casein Protein.
From there, you can get creative! Eat as-is for a simple and tasty custard treat. Alternatively, you may like to heat your custard up in the microwave for a warm custard (just like what you pour over pudding).
