Protein oats would have to be our GO-TO for breakfast. If you have never melted chocolate on your oats before.. this will change your life. If you haven’t noticed from this recipe, I am a chocolate fanatic however the toppings for this recipe can be so versatile and you can add any toppings you would like. A few other combinations I often do are:
- Banana and Nuttvia hazelnut spread
- Banana and Peanut Butter or Macro Mike Powdered PB+
- Mixed berries, Queen’s Sugar-free maple syrup & cinnamon
I have also used a whole array of IsoPept Zero flavours - all of which taste great and can be used within this recipe. This is an amazing way to keep your brekky interesting - same simple and easy to make recipe, but endless options of flavours and tastes! You’ll never get bored of this healthy one! I have tried quite a few proteins before, and never have I found one that has mixed in with oats so well! IsoPept Zero is most definitely the go for protein oats. Unbeatable.
And on that note of protein, some people do not understand the difference between the two different EHPlabs Proteins: OxyWhey vs IsoPept Zero. I have and use both - so here’s a quick debrief! The main difference is IsoPept Zero, being a pure WPI (Whey Protein Isolate) product, IsoPept Zero is a much faster absorbing protein. This leads to quicker muscle recovery and faster stimulation for muscle growth - so while IsoPept Zero Protein Oats are commonly a brekky special, it can also be a perfect post-workout meal!
Enjoy legends!
Featuring: IsoPept Zero by EHPlabs
Recipe created by MAK Athlete, Chloe!
Ingredients
- 40g Oats
- 1 Scoop EHPlabs IsoPept Zero, Chocolate Decadence Flavour
- Half Cup Mixed berries
- 2 Squares Lindt Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt Caramel flavour
- Water, to mix to desired consistency
Method
The first step is to cook your oats on water. Simply combine your oats in a microwave-safe bowl or container, and add enough water to cover all the oats. Then, pop your oats into the microwave for 1:30 - 2:00 minutes. Stir to combine when finished cooking. You could alternatively cook your oats on a stovetop for this step - however, Microwave tends to be the obvious quicker option - so that's the winner in our eyes!
Once cooked, stir in your scoop of IsoPept Zero protein. Pro Tip: make sure you DO NOT add in your protein before cooking your oats, as it will make the consistency very clumpy - this is where people very commonly go wrong!
Finally, add your toppings, as pictured, with the mixed berries and Lindt sea salt caramel chocolate. Eat & Enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
Keep your taste buds happy, and switch up the flavours from time to time with your oats! As mentioned above, there are millions of different delicious toppings to add. There’s also 7 different flavours of the IsoPept Zero by EHPlabs - each one just as incredible as the next! That includes:
- Chocolate Decadence
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Strawberry Sensation
- Choc Peanut Butter
- Cookies & Cream
- Banana Bliss
- Mocha Latte
