If you are someone who loves fruit and chocolate.. this is the perfect recipe for you. Chocolate dipped strawberries is a perfect snack that will fulfil your sweet tooth cravings while still being super low in calories. Firstly, if you are wanting to make this recipe you can swap out strawberries for any fruit you prefer eg. Bananas, blueberries or raspberries and you can also choose the toppings you prefer.
Macro Mike PB+ Powdered Peanut Butter is the perfect low-calorie alternative to a chocolate sauce and it tastes just as good! This is such a quick and easy recipe to make in preparation for the week. I do recommend putting in the fridge for at least a couple of hours so the PB hardens.
Meal prepping is great but don’t forget to prep your snacks as well. Most people don’t choose a bad option when opting for a meal, it is more snack food that is easy to grab and go. A packet of chips? Chocolate? Lollies? All taste great and are good in moderation but they are not the most nutritious everyday snack. Having a healthy alternative available at all times makes it so much easier to stay on track. Choose a day whether it be Sunday or Wednesday, prepare yourself for the week and ensure you have easy and healthy options available. Preparation is key!
So next meal prep, or your next point of craving - here’s your healthy alternative! Your favourite fruit (along with all the healthy vitamins and nutrients inside!) + a decadent coating of high protein, low fat, sweet and creamy PB+ Powdered Peanut Butter. Easy, yummy, healthy. Perfect.
Recipe created by MAK Athlete, Chloe Reppel!
- PB+ Powdered Peanut Butter by Macro Mike (Choc Hazelnut Flavour)
- Strawberries (or simply your favourite fruit of choice)
- White chocolate, Grated to create thin flakes (optional)
Add a single serving of the Macro Mike PB+ Powdered Peanut Butter to a shallow dish. As per the recommended ratio listed on the jar, start to add water and mix with a spoon or spatula. You want the sauce to be smooth and thoroughly combined, and around the same consistency as a chocolate sauce (or melted chocolate). That’s your chocolate sauce made!
Next, wash your fruit. Then dip the strawberries, one by one, into the dish to create a thin coating around the whole fruit.
Sprinkle white chocolate flakes over the top (so they stick to the sauce).
Place onto plate or bowl, and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
