What's in the DNA of an MAK Trainer? We want highly professional, energetic, bubbly personalities here. Our members work extremely hard, we need you to keep them pumped throughout the session, even when the going gets tough, they need you to help them through it. But this is not personal training, there are20 other members whom also need you to lift their spirits, or correct their technique! We certainly need you to have the relevant fitness qualifications, but it's more than that.
Can you walk the floor, giving more attention to the new guy who has never been to a gym before, whilst at the same time pumping up the spirits of the two ladies who are on the other side of the room, getting through a 60 second set of burpees, all with a big smile on your face? Welcome to MAK Fitness.
What's your role?
Glad you asked! As MAK Fitness have a dedicated department putting together all of our unique HIIT sessions, the good news is that you don't need to spend hours doing this yourself! You will need to familiarise yourself with the day's program, via our intranet, ensuring that you are comfortable and competent to demonstrate the correct exercise techniques during the session demonstration.This includes offering progressive and regressive options. Once the session starts, it's all systems go. Your primary responsibility is to keep energy levels high and ensure correct technique is being practised. At the end of the session, encourage members to stretch and cool down, whilst also engaging them for feedback on the session and discussing their fitness goals.
Awillingness to engage with members and our little fitness community on socialmedia and at occasional group outings is also highly desirable. We are veryproud of the community we have built and would love to add the"right" person to it!

The Nitty Gritty
Experience in group fitness is desirable but not essential (the right personality is essential).
A minimumCertificate III in Fitness, current Senior First Aid (and CPR), an ABN andpersonal insurance cover are definitely required.
Ongoingtraining is provided on the job, however there is also a requirement to attendsome training to upskill from time to time.
